Fabrice Leger makes this excellent Pinot Noir at his estate in Epineuil, at the extreme north of the Burgundy viticultural area. There, on a tributary of the Yonne in the Auxerre region near Chablis, grapes are planted on the slopes in Kimmeridgean and Portland soils. Mainly south facing and protected from the North, the wines achieve a bright fleshiness and fruity character that partners well with the local Burgundian cuisine.
