Good levels of sweet fruit, mellow, quite rich, good finish. Soft. Improves with airing. Cabernet/Merlot/Syrah/Duras/Fer Servadou blend. At Chateau Lastours The Faramond family produces good quality well made wines from their riverside Chateau in Gaillac. Most of the 40 Ha of his property is under vine on the Valley floor of the river Tarn The majority of the property is on gravely soil and they have used this to their advantage making medium-bodied wines of character.
