From the latin for a hoe, I Pastini is located amongst the Trulli in Puglia, the heel of Italy. Here the Primitivo is the king of red grapes (primitivo meaning first, or early ripening not primitive) and this wine, despite sounding like a form of knitting, is actually luscious, ripe and easy to drink. Great with fatty meats.
