Vondeling is an estate on the slopes of the Paardeberg Mountain in Paarl, near Wellington. Owned by Brit Julian Johnsen with winemaking by Matthew Copeland, the estate makes wine in a tight European style, helped by the cool breezes from the sea. With many awards from Platters and others, these wines are well worth a second look.
